The Colibo Data API is used for querying protected data, meant for user import.
It is recommended to place the Data API on a restricted server and to protect endpoints with a secret token. The Data API should always use HTTPS to ensure encryption and if possible only relevant servers should have access through the firewall on HTTPS (443).
